A couple came to us from Leicester Private Detective after being rejected for a mortgage application on the grounds of a credit rating of zero. The couple are certain that this incorrect and now fear that they have had their identity stolen and accounts hacked. The evidence so far was indicative that this was the case and so the clients were advised to close down the accounts before further damage was done.

Following this a variety of checks were put in place in the hope of locating the individual responsible for the identity theft. Soon information was uncovered which presented a highly suspicious individual with a criminal history of fraud and theft that they had only recently left prison for. With this information we were able locate the individual and begin surveillance to enhance the evidence against them. This surveillance along with more in depth checks confirmed the past of the individual as well as his involvement in the client’s affairs. Evidence of the client’s details and finances was obtained as were files and documents of other people that the individual intended to steal the identity of.

With the evidence provided further incidents of this nature by the individual were disabled and a legal case was able to be formed against them. After the results of the investigation the clients were able to regain their correct credit rating and from that get the mortgage they wanted to secure their new home.
