Investigator Agency Leicester – False Convictions

A mother came to us at Investigator Agency Leicester after her teenage daughter was wrongly convicted of theft. Although the error was reported to police all evidence available directed them to believe that the client’s daughter was guilty of the crime. After the client confronted her daughter herself she discovered that she had been set up by another individual who her daughter knew was in possession of the stolen goods. It was after hearing these allegations that the client approached us with the hope of finding out the truth and clearing both her daughter’s name and criminal record.

The investigation began with the identification of the suspected individual with the help of the information that the clients’ daughter was able to provide. Once the identity of the target was established it was easy to confirm her location as well. We advised the client that the best method of approaching the allegations would be to gain visual evidence of the individual in possession of the stolen goods. This was achieved quicker than expected as within an hour of the start of the surveillance session the individual was photographed wearing the stolen clothes and shoes. To accompany this evidence for the police report a voluntary polygraph test was carried out on the client’s daughter to evidence her innocence in the crime.

Upon presentation of the collaborated evidence to the authorities the investigation was reopened and the clients’ daughters’ conviction revised and given to the correct party.
