Private Detective in Leicester heard from an employer who
believed an employee of fraud to relation to a personal injury claim. He had
been in a car accident and was left unable to bend over properly and claimed
that he couldn’t walk very far. He had been off sick on full pay for over 6
months and it was taking its toll on the business.
We recommended a session of surveillance to record all of
his movements and activities within the Six hour period. Our client recommended
a Friday mid-morning as he had been told by other employees that this is when
he and his wife go food shopping.
We arrived at the Targets house in good time and only needed
to wait a few minutes before he and his wife set out. He drove and didn’t seem
to have any trouble getting in the car.
They drove to the town centre and parked in the supermarket car park.
They did not go into the supermarket but into the shopping centre and walked
around the shops. They walked around for about 2 hours and then went back to
the supermarket.
The target got a big trolley and pushed it around the shop.
He and his wife filled it with food and
drink including heavy items such as
crates of beer and big boxes of cat food and big bags of dog food, all
of which he was able to pick up and put in the trolley. He took all of the items out of the trolley
and put them on the belt. He helped his wife bag up the shopping and he put it
in the boot of the car. On returning home he took the family dog for a walk,
bending down frequently to pick up the ball and then throwing the ball in a
bowling fashion.
When the surveillance ended we complied a report with
photographic and video evidence of his actions which were not those of an
incapacitated man.
