A client came to us with concerns that her boyfriend was not being honest with her about some aspects of his life before they met. Despite the fact that the couple had been together for almost a year the client felt that there were some parts of her partner’s life that she just didn’t know about. The investigation went ahead with a series of background checks on the individual at the request of the client which immediately came back with some concerning results. It became clear that the individual was not who he had said he was and several years ago had undergone a complete change in appearance and identity. Such extreme changes indicated a suspicious past and so further investigation was required.

The client was presented with a full report of all the evidence obtained on the individual which indicated a less that savoury past. It was discovered that the partner of the client had been living under a false identity for the past ten years to escape his past as a young offender. With further investigation it was discovered that the target had been responsible for the death of another teenager and hiding been trying to escape his past with this new identity. Following the investigation the client confronted her boyfriend on the results of the investigation at which he began to become violent with her. Luckily the client was unharmed and ended the relationship and was glad to have found out the truth.
