A lady called Private Detective Agency in Leicester as she was concerned about the identity of a man who she had struck up a friendship with on the Internet. She had met the man on a dating website and had been exchanging emails for several weeks. He claimed to be an ex-soldier in the army and was now living on his own in a remote Welsh village. He had recently invited our client to go and stay with him for the weekend and although she thought he seemed to be genuine she had her reservations and wanted to find out more about him.

We advised our client that our skilled agents could used their expertise to carry out a back round check on the subject. Using the information our client had along with the databases we have at our disposal we could carry out an investigation in an attempt to establish whether the man’s story was real.

Using all the information possible in the public domain we were able to report to our client that her new friend appeared to be telling the truth about his identity however we did advise her that it would be wise to meet him in a public place rather than in his home to begin with.
